Adding to our mounting success, BPN recently won the Public Service Award for First Ever Potable Water Billboard, as well as a Highly Commended Award in the Creative Use of Media at the Festival of Media Global 2013.
The Festival of Media Global Awards are the first awards which celebrate the media and creativity worldwide. They recognize innovative and ground-breaking campaigns that achieve business solutions for brands globally.
I was honored to judge at the Festival of Media and it was a mind-opening experience for me. It was an excellent opportunity to participate and debate on the best global cases in media with brilliant people, all who have very different perspectives and backgrounds. The festival of Media attracts the best and most innovative cases every year and agencies really need a good story to win. A good story should be simple, entertaining and exciting, highlighting the new with continuous results.
Being a judge at Festival of Media also reinforced something we all know but tend to forget: only those who really pursue success will find it, the same with creativity and innovation. There also appears to be a positive correlation between the number of cases submitted and the number of awards won.
Our colleagues at BPN Peru were awarded for their amazing work for UTEC, the University for Technology and Engineering in Lima, Peru. The campaign, “First Potable Water Billboard,” used engineering technology to create a billboard that transforms the region’s intense humidity into drinkable water for people in the surrounding areas.
