To help foster young talent and help tomorrow’s leaders get a head start, BPN  participated as a sponsor in AWNY’s 57th Annual Advertising Career Conference. The event, which took place just before Thanksgiving, gave college students an opportunity to discover the diverse career offering withing the advertising and communications industry. In the past, this event has helped launched the careers of many of today’s top media executives.

AWNY’s annual Career Conference is a powerful opportunity for students to learn about the industry and attend workshops led by industry professionals. BPN’s very own Sam Levy, Digital Supervisor, and Dayana Falcon, Global Marketing and Partnerships Associate, were among them.

 

Sam Levy shared his knowledge of the industry with students at the “Digital Advertising: The Hottest Trends in Media” workshop.

“People are going to be the ones to help you. This is why networking is important… Find a mentor. And put a lot into it. You’ll get a tremendous amount out of it.”

Q: What would be the best advice you can give the students who are looking for entry level positions on which companies to apply for?

A: Follow your passions. When narrowing down which companies you want to apply for jobs in – look for the brands you’re the most passionate about, so that you can work on that business and bring your expertise to the team. And enjoy doing it too!
