BPN, AJE and its brand, Cifrut, are flying participating contest winners of its campaign, “Atrévete con Cifrut y conoce a Daddy Yankee,” to San Juan, Puerto Rico to meet the urban music star next Tuesday, November 18, 2014. The campaign developed by the BPN/IPG Mediabrands and Eclipse Digital team in Miami and was launched in September.
Cifrut, a brand of refreshing fruit drinks sold throughout Latin America and one of the leading brands in AJE’s product portfolio, launched this digital campaign project so that fans of the brand had the opportunity to join the contest for a chance to win a flight to Puerto Rico to meet Daddy Yankee and learn more about the worldwide Reggeaton industry star via a series of web episodes.
BPN continues to manage the campaign across multiple social media channels and although the bottle portion of the contest has concluded, the campaign will continue to draw attention to the brand and the Reggeaton star via the web series. This digital component of the campaign will feature a series of webisodes that showcases Daddy Yankee and his entourage interacting with his fans and Cifrut. Consumers and urban music fans in Mexico, Central America, Colombia, Bolivia, Ecuador and Peru can view the first installment of the webisodes starting today, and the remaining episodes will be released throughout November 2014 and March 2015, when the series is set to conclude.
BPN and AJE’s goal for this campaign was to connect Cifrut customers with an influential celebrity like Daddy Yankee knowing there is no better way to build relationships with an audience than by generating relatable content. Combining both components of the campaign via Cifrut’s social media channels solidifies the brand’s role as a leading content generator.
