Over the previous three years, in cooperation with more than 1000 media partners from around the world, we have made history for Free the Children during the holiday season.
In 2012 we asked our media partners in 48 countries to donate free media spaces to promote the campaign “1 Like = 1 Dollar”, obtaining more than $30 MM (USD) donated in free media space. Additionally, the campaign reached 2.4MM LIKES on Facebook, generating $2.4MM (USD) donated to build houses, schools and water systems in extremely poor villages in Africa.
In 2013, we focused our efforts to build awareness in the US, Canada, Australia and the UK regarding the multiple volunteer trips that Free the Children offers in Africa. The campaign also helped the cause reach over 3.3 million LIKES on Facebook! Last year, we aimed to build on the success of our previous campaign and take our efforts to new heights in the social media hemisphere: Twitter! With the campaign theme of “Education for Everyone”, we focused on the power of education to change the world and donated school supplies to those who need them most overseas for every new follower Free the Children received on Twitter.
This year, BPN WW along with IPG Mediabrands supported Free the Children as they evolve in our Mobile world as they launch their first-ever mobile app.
The campaign will leverage celebrity supporters (including Nick Jonas and Demi Lovato) to challenge kids all over the world to make a difference in the world.
We365 is all about taking daily actions to make yourself, your community, and the world better. We365 makes taking positive action and tracking your impact simple. For example, we deliver you inspiring challenges daily. Care about the environment? Want to beat cancer? Are you ready to up your game on random acts of kindness? We challenge you to start here! We365 also empowers you to track your volunteer hours using the Volunteer Tracker, build your social good portfolio for school and work resume, and watch your impact grow.
The “WE365” campaign is focused on driving people to download and sign up for the “WE365” mobile app, to generate an active social movement that will change the lives of millions of youths in developing communities. Through this initiative, for every download and sign up, Free the Children will provide goats that give back to families in developing countries.
Starting on December 26th, our goal as a global network is to activate our relationships with all our media partners (local, regional or global) and once again, ask for free advertising space to promote the “WE365” campaign. Our goal is to generate visibility towards Free the Children and its new app in all possible media channels throughout the world during the 2014-2015 Holiday season, at no cost to any media vendor or our agency partners.
On behalf of BPN Gives Back we had offices all around the world (North America, Turkey, Dubai & Lebanon) reach out to our media partners to get involved.
We thank you for participating with BPN in our Free the Children partnership and for impacting the world of tomorrow.
